About Honolulu & Hawaii
Honolulu is a feral that was left on our doorstep in a cage with several babies. Only one baby survived, a little longhaired dilute calico we call Hawaii to stick with the theme. Honolulu is very scared of humans but is fine with other cats, especially her baby who she has formed a strong bond with. They play together and are always cuddling. When outside of her kennel, she is very fearful and hides. Her baby is more curious and likes to explore. Hawaii conversely, is more friendly than her mother. She is still shy but sheās not going to attack anyone. When she came in she had no fur. We thought that was just how she was. Lo and behold after months of healing, she turned out to be a long-haired kitty! The baby is roughly 5 months old as of October 2025. The two would probably prefer to be together forever, but if you want the baby separately we would recommend having another older cat to get her more comfortable with the transition. But we think the two would make decent barn cats. We normally donāt do barn cats but because the mom is feral weāre not sure if anyone has the time to do a full rehabilitation for her.
