About Patriot

What are you waiting for? Apply today! Patriot is the beloved mascot of Good Mews and a true testament to resilience and affection. This outgoing and friendly senior cat greets every visitor and has no shortage of playtime thanks to his shelter friends. Sadly, Patriot lost his tail and had to have hip surgery after an accident, resulting in lifelong urinary and fecal incontinence. Despite these challenges, he thrives at the shelter with plenty of attention from staff, volunteers, and his fellow felines. Although his unique needs might make finding a forever home tough, Patriot remains cheerful and loving. He’s always eager for snuggles—if you sit beside him, he’ll likely hop onto your lap for a cuddle. Patriot was born on September 11th, which makes him a practical and nurturing Virgo—a true friend to everyone he meets! Should you have the experience, time, and heart to care for his medical needs, Patriot would extend that same warmth and love to your family. While he enjoys his current community, he’ll always be happy for more friends, so be sure to say hello when you stop by the shelter. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
