About Pd
Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Pd, a charismatic 10-year-old Chihuahua searching for a calm and loving forever home. This small, white and cream mixed-breed pup is completely house trained and has never had an accident in his foster home. Pd’s world revolves around his people, his furry foster brother, belly scratches, being the household boss, and enjoying his twice-daily treats—especially since that's how he takes his necessary medication. Diagnosed with an enlarged heart and heart murmur, Pd requires daily medication, and his kidney concerns are managed with a prescription kidney-support diet. He would also benefit from some light exercise to help him shed a few pounds for his overall well-being. Pd prefers homes without large dogs and can become possessive of his favorite person, especially if others try to get close while he’s on your lap. He can display a spicy attitude towards new people as he’s very protective of his family and needs a household where there aren’t many visitors coming and going. His forever family must be dedicated to continuing his medical care and providing the stability and quiet he needs. Pd has flourished in his foster home, proving to be the best companion for someone willing to give him the love and specialized attention he deserves. Pd is fostered with Grafelman Farms Rescue NFP. Make their next chapter their best one yet.

Questions about Pd
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Chihuahuas thrive best in homes that offer a sense of security and warmth, regardless of size. They can live happily in apartments or houses as long as they get enough attention and comfort from their people.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Chihuahuas don’t require much outdoor space due to their small size. Regular short walks and indoor playtime are usually enough to keep them healthy and stimulated.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chihuahuas can be good with older, respectful children, but their tiny size makes them vulnerable to rough handling. Supervised interactions are recommended for families with kids.
