About Shiner The Country Boy
Shiner The Country Boy is one of those rare dogs whose personality matches his striking looks. After losing the only home he ever knew when his owner passed away, he ended up at the pound. Volunteers immediately noticed how gentle and affectionate he was, and thanks to a foster, he never had to lose hope. Shiner excelled at the vet and charmed everyone with his easygoing, social nature. He's fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative. At about 7 years old, this 60-pound mixed Pointer/Setter still bolts across the yard like a much younger dog. An active foster home gave him a second wind—he thrives with other playful, energetic dogs and enjoys running, wrestling, and tag-along adventures with his canine pals. A big yard and at least one active doggie buddy are a must for Shiner. He loves hikes, car rides, lounging outside on a breezy day, and curling up indoors with his people after a day of fun. His golden, freckled fur, plume tail, and soulful eyes catch the light, but it’s his loyal, affectionate, playful temperament that wins you over. Shiner craves human companionship and wants a family who values both outdoor play and indoor relaxation. If you want a devoted dog with a gentle heart and energy to spare, Shiner will be at your side for every walk, snuggle, and backyard sunset. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
