About Schultz
Schultz has spent over 700 days with the folks at Great Lakes Weim Rescue, but he’s ready for a real home. He’s a nine-year-old Weimaraner with a distinctive crinkled ear that makes him impossible to mistake. Schultz brings a quirky sense of humor and a gentle heart to the table. He prefers calm, quiet living with a person who’s home most of the time. If you already have a mellow dog, even better—Schultz likes to have a pack, but wants things on the laid-back side. He’s not high-maintenance. Schultz is happy with a casual stroll or a slow sniff around the backyard, then he’ll nap on his carefully arranged bed (interior design is a hobby). When you walk through the door, expect an enthusiastic greeting—he takes joy in seeing his people return. He gets along well with polite, relaxed dogs, especially if introductions happen slowly. Schultz has an alert streak and will keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary, sometimes even a sneaky squirrel. He’s loyal and deeply connected to “his” humans. With guests, he does best meeting them outside first. Schultz has a touch of arthritis, so he’s a bit deliberate when standing up, but still enjoys his favorite routines: showing off for butt scratches, picking the ideal toy, and rolling around on it before settling in. When dinner’s on, he turns dramatic, flopping down until the aroma of food gets him up and dancing. If you can offer a soft spot and a little company, Schultz will gladly fill your home with affection and a hint of silly old-soul energy. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
