Co-Co is an energetic gal who loves to be the center of attention! She enjoys snuggling up, chatting, and playing with catnip toys. Because she is on a restricted diet, she currently has a Suite at the shelter. While she enjoys not having to live with 80+ cats, she does tend to get lonely at times because she really loves people. When volunteers or visitors go in to hang out with her, she loves it! So having a human to call her own and more space to roam around is this sweet girl’s idea of heaven! She does tend to get startled by loud noises (like that monster called the vacuum cleaner!) but does respond well to reassurance, letting her know all is OK. She doesn’t love other cats so she’d prefer to be the solo pet in a home. But who needs another cat when they can get tons of love and affection from Co-Co! Due to a previous bladder stone removal, Co-Co requires a veterinary prescription diet (Royal Canin urinary wet and s/o dry). She also currently has one small stone in her bladder. It has not changed in size and the hope is that the special diet will dissolve it. If it gets bigger and/or gets symptomatic, she would likely need surgical removal. The prescription diet can be a little pricey, but with her being the only pet, it shouldn’t be bad. She will just need a dedicated adopter willing to keep her on this diet and yearly vet exams to keep an eye on the bladder stone.
