About Kano
Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Kano is an adult German Shepherd Dog with a dignified and gentle presence who is currently being fostered in Dale, Texas. This handsome boy is around 4 years old and sports a beautiful medium-length coat in shades of black, tan, and cream. Kano is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations, and he’s heartworm negative. He’s both house and crate trained, making him a lovely companion in the home environment. Kano was rescued from an overwhelming animal control facility and is still adjusting to a quieter life. While he’s shy and reserved at first, he’s sweet-natured and very calm. He tends to ignore cats and gets along well with other dogs. Kano is still learning leash walking and often prefers to just relax rather than go for extended walks, so a secure yard where he can take his time to potty and explore would be ideal for him. He will thrive in a patient, supportive home that can give him space to decompress and show him that the world isn’t so scary when he has the right person by his side. Kano loves meal times, especially the smell of someone cooking up something tasty like sausage or bacon! If you have a calm environment and are looking for a gentle, loyal companion, Kano might just be the friend you’ve been hoping for. This could be the start of something paw-some.
