About Jax
Jax is a large, energetic German Shepherd/Husky mix living with his family in Clovis, CA. At almost four years old, he's a loyal companion who sticks close to his people and is especially fond of his owner's teenage daughter, happy to snuggle at her feet after a day of play. Jax craves affection, enjoys playing keep away, and shows both intelligent and goofy sides during fetch or with his Kong. He listens well—knows quite a few commands—and while he barks at first when strangers arrive, he settles quickly into a sweet, approachable dog. He does well with other dogs and enjoys time at doggy daycare, though his experience is mostly with larger dogs and hasn't included small ones or cats. Around children, he's been great with older kids but hasn't been tested with young ones. Jax is housetrained and can be left alone indoors without being crated, though he may bark a little before calming down. He’s very smart, but still pulls on leash, so walks can be a workout. Jax likes water (but hasn't been swimming yet) and is always up for a car ride, albeit a lively one. Jax needs a home where he can get consistent exercise and attention, something his current family struggles to provide due to health reasons and apartment living. He’s neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Ready for a new chapter, Jax would thrive in an active household that understands large, driven dogs. What are you waiting for?
