Tahini is a 6-year-old spayed female German Shepherd Dog waiting for her person at the Sacramento City (Front Street) Animal Shelter. Shelter life scares her, so she often gets missed by adopters, but once outside her kennel, she really comes to life. Volunteers say she greets them happily while staying respectful—her paws remain on the floor and she’s ready for a leash. Tahini does pull a bit on walks but quickly settles in and responds to redirection, even when distracted by squirrels. She’s potty trained, loves gentle treats, and is happiest in the play yard where her playful side shows. Cuddling comes naturally to her, and she’s affectionate without being demanding. Tahini also gets along with other dogs and is currently paired up with another pup.
