About Skye
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Skye is a loving, playful, and energetic German Shepherd Dog/Husky mix seeking a new home due to changes in her current family's circumstances. She is just over a year old and enjoys the company of young children, having grown up with a five-year-old boy. Skye is initially shy and can be a little uncertain around strangers, but with affection and patience, she quickly warms up. She thrives around other dogs, particularly loving trips to the dog park, where she runs and plays with others of all sizes. However, Skye is not suited for homes with cats. She is house trained and sleeps in a crate at night, as well as when left alone. Her basic obedience training covers sit, lay, roll over, place, and speak, but she still pulls on leash and would benefit from continued leash and off-leash training. Car rides are one of Skye’s favorite activities, and she is always ready for a road trip. She loves interactive games like “Find It,” tug of war, and fetch, even if she doesn’t always return the ball right away. Skye’s playful spirit also extends to water, though she hasn’t had the chance to swim yet. Skye needs a home that can provide her with time, attention, and consistent care. Her adoption does not include a fee, but a refundable spay deposit is required. She is currently located in Sacramento and ready to meet her new family. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
