This stunning 3-year-old Old English Bulldog Mix has been with us since 6/26, and she’s been on quite the journey. Paris was returned once for being “growly” and “aggressive,” but since then she’s been placed in a foster home where we could get a true understanding of who she is — and the real Paris is showing up beautifully. ? Paris spent most of her life living outside, so transitioning into a real home has been a huge learning curve for her. But thanks to her amazing foster mom, Steph, she is blossoming. ? ? What We’ve Learned in Foster: • Prefers men — she warms up to them faster and seems more comfortable, which makes sense since she was raised by a man. • Currently living with a woman foster and doing great — Foster mom is showing her that women can be trusted, too! • Must be the only pet in the home. • Crate trained when left alone. • Had some potty accidents early on, but with a consistent routine she’s really nailed it. • Has shown quirks, but no aggression or growling in the foster home. • Didn’t love her foster mom’s female friend but adored the male friend she met and warmed up quickly. Paris needs an experienced dog owner — not a first-time home — someone who understands decompression, structure, and slow introductions. She’s learning what living inside a home truly means, and her progress has been incredible. Dogs who grow up outside often need time, patience, and rehabilitation to thrive as house pets… and Paris is well on her way. ?
