About Cuervo

Click apply to start the adoption process. Cuervo is searching for a foster or adopter by December 10, 2025! He’s an 11-year-old (but acts half his age) Malinois/Shepherd mix bursting with energy and ready for new adventures. Whether you love walking, hiking, or running, Cuervo wants to be your enthusiastic companion, always eager for a game of fetch, tug of war, or a stroll with his toys. Rescued in April 2024 after six tough weeks at the Downey Shelter, Cuervo has charmed everyone he meets and is now hopeful for a loving forever home after waiting so patiently for over 19 months. This devoted pup did well on his behavior assessments with large dogs and currently lives with small dogs. After a six-week boot camp, he’s become impressively obedient and is excellent on leash, making him a joy to spend time with. Cuervo thrives with active individuals who enjoy daily exercise, and he’s more than happy to share your bed at night. True to his breeds, his adventurous spirit and sharp prey drive mean your backyard critters won’t stand a chance. With his puppy-like personality and zest for life, Cuervo is ready to make your days brighter and busier! As a bonus, Cuervo’s birthday is March 9, which makes him a Pisces—playful, loyal, and always in tune with his people. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
