About Hudson

They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Hudson was discovered as a stray in the Modesto, CA area and brought to the Stanislaus Animal Shelter on July 31. Described by staff as a loving and affectionate dog, Hudson leans into pets, knows his basic commands, and presents a calm and easy-going demeanor. He takes treats gently and shows signs of being potty trained. During his time at the shelter, Hudson was temperament tested with other dogs and displayed a generally neutral attitude—curious about a small dog but not showing any problematic behavior. Sadly, as a senior, Hudson had been overlooked and was listed for euthanasia before a compassionate foster stepped in just in time. Since being fostered, Hudson has continued to impress with his good behavior: he enjoys car rides, behaves well during baths, shows no interest in the resident small dog or cats, and doesn't display any guarding instincts. He has a "soft mouth" when taking treats, adding to his gentle nature. His profile will be updated as more is learned about him in his foster home in Stockton. Ready to meet your new best friend?
