About Nala
This could be the start of something paw-some. Nala is a beautiful Great Pyrenees who is just over a year, perhaps nearing two as of June 2022. After spending her early life with little socialization in a backyard, she is now safely with the rescue. At present, Nala is being boarded as there are no big dog fosters available, but she has shown her sweet and loving nature by seeking belly rubs and wanting to be close to her people. She adores having strong, tough toys to play with and enjoys the attention of gentle companions. Nala is spayed, and her vaccinations are all up to date. She has a skin autoimmune condition called Pemphigus; this causes the skin on her nose to become crusty and, if agitated, to bleed, but she is being treated with steroids and weekly medicated baths. She may need continued medical care for her condition. Nala is naturally protective with those she doesn’t know, which is true to her breed’s livestock guardian roots. She's still getting used to her new environment, so more personality details may be discovered over time. If you are searching for a loving, loyal companion who needs just a bit of extra care and understanding, Nala may be the perfect addition to your home. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
