About Polo
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Meet Polo, a lively 2.5-year-old pit bull/lab mix who is looking for a fresh start after being abandoned by his previous owner. Polo thrives with lots of exercise and enjoys long walks, play sessions with toys, and sharing fun treat runs like pup cups or a burger from time to time. Due to his past, he needs a little refresher on potty training, especially since he lived in an apartment without access to the outdoors. Polo can be reactive on leash when he sees other dogs but, thanks to his quick intelligence and recent obedience training at K9 University, he's making great progress and knows lots of commands. He would be best suited for someone with previous dog experience who can continue his training and provide firm, loving guidance. He's an affectionate companion who sometimes jumps up when excited—a behavior he is currently working on. This sweet, outgoing boy is house trained, adores fetch, and despite occasional nervousness around loud noises or fireworks, he always has a big smile and plenty of kisses to share. Polo is truly one of the friendliest dogs you will ever meet and is waiting for his chance at a forever home. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.

Questions about Polo
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Pit bull/lab mixes typically do well in homes with active families who can provide ample exercise and mental stimulation. They thrive in environments where they aren't left alone for long periods and have consistent interaction with people.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A pit bull/lab mix benefits from having access to a yard or nearby parks where they can burn off energy. While they can adapt to apartment living if exercised sufficiently, they do best with regular outdoor time.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
When properly socialized, pit bull/lab mixes are often affectionate and playful with children. Supervision and basic manners training are important, especially due to their size and enthusiasm.
