About The Maxes
The Maxes are two bonded brothers who have come a long way from their early days as timid kittens. Growing up in a foster home, they've learned how to enjoy pets and even trust their foster mom, though they still keep a little distance with strangers. They're used to being around other cats and a dog that likes cats, which has helped them open up. If given a sunny window, they settle in and watch the world go by. Max and Mad Max (named for his signature scowl and slightly more nervous nature) need a quiet, patient adopter who will offer them a stable, indoor-only home. They aren’t suited to chaos or lots of new faces, but with time and gentle care, they'll warm up and show their personalities. The boys must stay together—they’re completely bonded. Both cats are neutered, fully vaccinated, FIV/FeLV negative, and microchipped. They’re currently fostered in Stewartsville, NJ. One adoption fee is sponsored thanks to a generous donor. Questions about The Maxes
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Domestic Short Hair/Tabby cats like The Maxes typically do best in calm, indoor environments where they can feel safe and secure. Providing quiet spaces for them to retreat is ideal, especially for more reserved cats.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Like most domestic cats, The Maxes don’t require outdoor space and should thrive indoors. Indoor-only living helps keep them safe and healthy.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Domestic Short Hair/Tabby cats can live well with children, but since The Maxes are shy and skittish with strangers and noise, a home with older, respectful children or adults only is likely a better fit.
