Phoebe D
AvailablePhoebe D is a young, small Chihuahua located in Fremont, CA. She’s spayed and up to date on vaccinations. Phoebe D is house trained and gets along with cats and some dogs, especially those larger than herself. She thrives in an adult home with experienced handlers who can provide structure and guidance.
About Phoebe D
Phoebe D had a rough start in the noisy shelter, nervous from the barking and constant commotion. The moment she left her kennel, though, her sweet, gentle side came through—she melted into any willing lap and soaked up cuddles from the staff. She handled transport and vet visits without fuss and sought out connection wherever she landed next. It took her a few days to warm up in her foster home, but now she’s happiest when she feels safe and included. Around people, she’s affectionate and attentive, skipping between walks, napping on the sofa, and earning the nickname Princess Phoebe. Phoebe does best with larger dogs, especially laid-back males, and she’s fine with respectful cats. She does need an experienced, adult home since she can be protective of her food, toys, or favorite person—her guard-dog instinct kicks in if she feels pushed. With clear structure, separate feeding, and consistent training, she listens well and wants to fit in. Older kids are fine. She’s house trained, learning the leash, and is friendly with men and guests after a little time. Phoebe’s looking for someone who’ll recognize her soft spots and give her firm, fair guidance.
