About Max!!
Max!! is a year-old German Shepherd mix with some Anatolian, though you’ll notice it most in his size—he’s much taller than a typical GSD. He’s a total goof. When he’s outside, he lumbers around the yard, romps with every dog in sight, and starts pro-wrestling matches with friends whether they’re big or small. Indoors, he’s figured out those moves aren’t house-appropriate, so you’ll find him lounging. Max!! is bow-legged with a quirky duck-like stride, perpetual helicopter ears, and a sideways tongue. He still confuses fingers for treats now and then but is learning. Treats tend to speed up his obedience—he’ll sit, lie down, or offer you a big paw smack if it means a snack. He’s deeply loyal once he trusts you and carries himself with the classic shepherd protectiveness (even guarding the shower while you’re inside). Max!! is excellent with other dogs, especially those his own size, and does well with kids. He thrives with canine buddies to play and burn off his energy. His confidence soars with structure; he needs ongoing training and guidance but learns quickly, especially when motivated. He is house trained, crate trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. Max!! is a big dog with an even bigger heart and would do best in a family ready to keep up with his enthusiasm and size.
