Missy – Gentle Senior Cat Looking for a Patient, Loving Home Missy is a gentle 12-year-old girl with a quiet strength and a heart that’s slowly beginning to heal. When she arrived at our rescue, she was stressed and fearful, showing signs of prolonged neglect, including overgrooming and fur loss. With patience and loving care in her foster home, Missy is learning that the world can be safe. Her fur is growing back, her eyes are brighter, and she’s begun to enjoy gentle head scratches, bird-watching from the window, and playful nighttime jingle ball sessions. She even chats with her foster family when she feels comfortable. Missy is currently on a low-dose antidepressant to help manage anxiety, and she continues to make remarkable progress. While she can coexist with other cats and a large dog, she would be happiest as the only pet in a calm, patient home where she can continue to blossom at her own pace.
