I came to Furry Friends from Okeechobee with a large wound on my foot, but I'm all healed up now and feeling great. I'm a very gentle boy who loves being pet, lounging on soft beds, and soaking up all the attention I can get. I'm sweet, calm, curious, and ready for a family who will love me. I want to share something important about myself: I tested positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus). I know that might sound a little scary at first, but here's what it really means: There are actually different kinds of FeLV infections: -Some kitties clear the virus on their own and eventually test negative. -Some carry the virus for life but stay healthy for many years-or even forever. -And some may develop illness more quickly and need a bit more care. The truth is, no one knows yet which path my life will take. But I can tell you this, I feel wonderful right now. I'm active, happy, and full of curiosity. I love attention, petting, cozy spots, and being close to people. Because FeLV can spread to other cats through close contact, I need a home where I will be the only cat, or where any feline friends I might have are also FeLV-positive like me.
