About Daisy
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Daisy is an approximately 4-5-year-old, 20-pound terrier mix who has been thriving in her foster home for the past year. She's blossomed with force-free training, is getting more comfortable with new places and people, and enjoys the gentle challenge of scent games to keep her mind engaged. Daisy prefers a quieter home where she can have her own cozy space, complete with her beloved dog bed—she finds comfort there during storms, fireworks, or any stressful times. To help Daisy feel secure, a fully fenced yard is highly recommended—she’s a big fan of running zoomies and loves her daily "walkies." Daisy adores sleeping in the bedroom with her people, sometimes curled up on the bed, tucked under it, or relaxed in her crate nearby. She’s motivated by treats, knows some basic commands, and is always happiest when earning her rewards in amusing ways. Daisy will truly shine with a patient, understanding adopter who can offer her a safe, loving environment. She does not do well with cats or small critters, so a home without these is essential. If you live near Royal Oak, supportive resources and guidance will be shared to ensure Daisy’s transition goes smoothly. Make their next chapter their best one yet.

Questions about Daisy
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Terriers are adaptable but often do best in homes where they can enjoy a secure indoor space with access to a yard. They appreciate calm, structured environments, especially if they are sensitive to noise or need extra reassurance.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Terriers are energetic and enjoy having a secure, fully fenced yard where they can run and play. They benefit from regular outdoor activity, so a home with a yard or access to frequent walks is ideal.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Terriers can be suitable for families with children, but their lively nature and occasional sensitivity to startling environments mean supervision and gentle handling are important, especially in homes with young children.
