About Cookie
Your new best friend is just one click away. Cookie is a small, approximately 4-year-old female Chihuahua mix who has already been spayed, microchipped, and her vaccinations are completely up to date. Cookie came to the rescue from Southeast Colorado at the end of August 2025, along with her puppy, who has now found a home. Cookie had limited human interaction before her rescue but has been making great strides in her foster environment. She is kennel-trained and knows how to use a doggie door, though she does still have a few accidents inside the house. With consistent supervision and patience, she is expected to become reliably housetrained. While Cookie generally gets along with most dogs, she does show some bossiness and jealousy, particularly when attention is directed at other pets. For this reason, it's important to carefully manage her interactions with other dogs. Cookie would thrive in a household with older children who understand dog behavior and communication, creating a supportive and harmonious home for her. Fun fact: With a birthday in early September, Cookie is a Virgo, a sign known for loyalty and keen observation—traits she definitely possesses! Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
