About Rocky
Meet Rocky. He showed up looking like heād just come out swingingābattle-worn, scabbed, grumpy-faced, and with those ears stuck on airplane mode. Anyone could understand if he was prickly, but Rocky has never hissed at anyone here, not once. His tough look is all show for a heart thatās mostly fear and caution. He tries to make himself small, tucking into corners or shrinking into the background, but something changes as soon as you reach out. A gentle touch melts the gruffness awayāhis eyes lose that hard edge, his shoulders settle, and you see the relief settle in. Rocky is FIV+, which probably added to the struggles he faced on the street, but heās getting along well with the other cats at the shelter. He hasnāt met any dogs here yet. What weāve seen is someone who needs time and patienceāa person to just sit with him and gently remind him heās safe now. Under that worried surface is a loyal companion, waiting for someone to help him feel at home. After years of scraping by, Rocky deserves quieter days and a human who sees whatās special about him. Heās ready for someone to give him that second chance. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
