For a couple of months, our volunteers would catch glimpses of him darting behind the rescue, always quick to disappear before anyone could get close. No one knew exactly when he first showed up, but he became a familiar little shadow out back. Finally, one of our volunteers set a trap, and sure enough, Homie walked right in... almost like he was ready to be saved. Now that he's safe inside, we see exactly who he is, a furry ball of love. There's not a single mean bone in home boy's body. He still hunkers down when he's unsure, but once he realizes he's safe, he melts right into your hands for pets and affection. Homie was definitely someone's cat once, but somewhere along the way, he lost his home. He's about 3 years old now and would do best in a calm, patient home where he can feel secure and learn that love isn't something he has to run from anymore.
