About Tabitha
Tabitha is a joyful, one-of-a-kind Terrier/Greyhound mix who started life in a shelter and is still waiting for her true home. Despite living with uncertainty, she approaches each day with real enthusiasm. She absolutely loves people—her whole face lights up when someone gives her attention. Treats are a close second, and she never turns them down. Her zest does mean she’s a bit rambunctious, so she could easily knock over young kids just by being excited, and she needs a home without other dogs or cats—Tabitha is happiest as the solo pet. She’s smart and friendly, and will need someone who can be patient as she adjusts to life outside the shelter. Shelter living is all Tabitha has known, but with the right adopter, she’s sure to bloom. She’s house trained and ready to spoil with love. If you want a dog who’ll greet you like you hung the moon, Tabitha is eager to take the job. Residents interested in adopting or fostering Tabitha should live within four hours of Parkville, MO. Questions about Tabitha
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Tabitha, being a Terrier/Greyhound mix, does best in a stable home where she can be the only pet. She’ll thrive in a house with enough space to stretch her legs, ideally with adults or families with older kids who understand her energy level.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A medium-sized yard is ideal for a dog like Tabitha. Greyhound and Terrier mixes enjoy regular walks and room to play, but don’t need acres of land—just predictable, daily activity and a secure area to romp.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Tabitha’s exuberance could overwhelm smaller children, so she does best with families who have older kids that won’t be knocked over by her happy energy and can respect her need to be an only pet.
