Marmaduke
AvailableMarmaduke is a large, male Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd Dog mix who is about 1 year and 8 months old, with a handsome brown and white coat. He is neutered, vaccinated, and fully house trained. Growing up in Huntsville, AL, he needs a secure environment due to his energetic nature and his need for 24/7 dog door access after a prior medical issue. Marmaduke truly thrives in active family settings where he can be included in daily routines.
About Marmaduke
Marmaduke is a big, goofy lovebug who is happiest surrounded by people and dogs. He absolutely loves children and gets along well with other dogs, though his exuberant size makes him better suited for playmates that can handle big energy—tiny friends may not be a match. Curious by nature, Marmaduke is very interested in cats and chickens, so he would do best in a home without them, or where he can be properly separated. At about 1 year and 8 months old, Marmaduke has grown up in rescue after overcoming a puppy medical issue that required surgery. He is healed and thriving but still needs 24/7 access to a doggie door and is fully dog door trained. A secure, fenced yard is a must for him, along with another playful dog and animal-loving, respectful kids to share his days with. Marmaduke is fostered near Huntsville, AL and, due to his unique needs, adoption is limited to the local area. He is vaccinated, neutered, and house trained, and ready to be someone's best companion. Fun fact: With a late September birthday, Marmaduke is a Libra—no wonder he’s such a charmer who thrives on friendship. Click apply to start the adoption process.
