About Layne Louise
Layne Louise is a lovely, medium-sized German Shepherd/Beagle mix currently living in Saunderstown, RI. Sheās around 3 years old and about 50 lbs, with a gentle soul and a touch of shyness left over from her days as a Kentucky street dog. Since coming into care, Layne Louise has grown in confidence and now enjoys spending time with childrenāincluding babiesāand other dogs, especially mellow females and senior dogs. She tends to keep to herself around new people and environments but relaxes once she feels safe. Youāll find she doesnāt bark much (she wonāt chase after your mailman), and she enjoys daily walks, playing fetch, and romping in the yard. Layne Louise prefers a home with a fenced yard where she can run and watch birds. Sheās happiest with another friendly dog as a companion and thrives on calm, steady energy. She gets along well with kids and most dogs but should not live with cats due to her prey drive. Sheās house trained, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations. Sheāll need a patient adopter who understands that new settings can make her timid. If you have the right environment and an extra dose of patience, Layne Louise could be the perfect new addition to your family. Your new best friend is just one click away.
