About Sarge
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Sarge is a 5-month-old pup who currently weighs 38 pounds and sports a soft, medium-length tan coat. Born to a Belgian Malinois mom and a Great Pyrenees/Pitbull dad, he offers a mix of brains, loyalty, and sweetness. Sarge is a little on the shy side and could benefit from more leash training, so patience and gentle encouragement will help him build confidence. He’s not yet house trained, but with positive support, he’ll find his rhythm in your home. Sarge and his three siblings are each looking for a loving family to call their own. They are currently in foster care at Franklin County Humane Society, and you’re invited to make an appointment to meet Sarge and see if he’s the perfect fit for you. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.

Questions about Sarge
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
A mixed-breed dog with Belgian Malinois, Great Pyrenees, and Pitbull in its lineage is often adaptable but typically does best in an active home where there’s room to play and explore. They thrive in environments that offer a good balance of indoor comfort and outdoor activity.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
This mix benefits from a home with a large, securely fenced yard or regular access to spacious outdoor areas for exercise. Daily walks and play sessions are important to meet their energy needs and keep them mentally stimulated.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
With proper socialization and supervision, mixed-breed dogs with these parent breeds can be great companions for children. They are often loyal and protective but should always be gently introduced to kids and monitored during interactions, especially when young.
