About Shrek
Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today. Meet Shrek, an adorable 7-year-old Lab/hound mix who exudes both sweetness and infectious energy. Shrek loves nothing more than chasing big balls all around the yard—he’s always up for a spirited game! His playful spirit is matched by his social side; Shrek gets along well with other dogs and greets new canine pals with ease. Remarkably, he has the pep and enthusiasm of a much younger dog and would make an ideal running or hiking companion. Shrek walks nicely on a leash and especially loves outings where he can splash in streams. He handles car rides well once his initial excitement passes, and he’s calm and non-reactive toward ducks, birds, joggers, and other dogs he encounters. While he can become jumpy when excited, especially around older kids, his affectionate side shines through—he’s never short on kisses and listens attentively to commands. Shrek is eager to learn more and would thrive in a home where he can continue to pick up new tricks. He is up to date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped, ready for his fur-ever family. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
