About Huckleberry
Huckleberry is a big, striking mix of Pointer and Pit Bull Terrier with an even bigger heart and a goofy streak. Found in a rural area where he was in real danger, he ended up needing femoral head surgery after a bad leg injury, but handled it like a champ. He still needs steady exercise to keep that back leg strong, which honestly fits his super active, playful style—he’s never happier than when he’s romping or wrestling with people who can match his energy. If you like your dogs fun-loving with a tendency to get into mischief, Huckleberry won’t disappoint. People who adopt him should be ready for a lot of movement and even more snuggles afterward. He gets along well with other dogs after proper introductions, and he does fine around children. Cat situation is untested for now, but the rescue will run a test if you’re interested. This is a dog who brings honest joy and keeps every day interesting. Your new best friend is just one click away.
