About Ramona
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Meet Ramona! This sweet Chihuahua had a rough start but is finally learning what it means to be safe and loved. When she first arrived from a hoarding situation, she had never set paw outside and was terrified of the outdoors, relying only on potty pads indoors. Thanks to the gentle work of her foster family, Ramona is now potty trained and even enjoys some outdoor playtime with her foster siblings—a huge step forward for her! Ramona is still learning to trust people. She follows her foster mom everywhere and has recently started to enjoy belly rubs and gentle attention. She may take time to fully warm up to you and will need a family willing to go at her pace with lots of patience, love, and understanding. Kennel-trained, she views her kennel as a safe retreat and will find comfort in having her own cozy space in your home. Ramona does wonderfully with other dogs and absolutely loves playing with them and her toys. She gets very excited at the thought of being petted—even if she's not quite brave enough just yet. Every day she shows progress, starting to accept treats by hand and letting her foster parents get closer to her. With her resilience and gentle spirit, Ramona is sure to make a wonderful companion for the right person. She’s searching for someone special to help her shine and live her very best life.
