Jewels made her way safely to Michigan after narrowly escaping euthanasia at an overcrowded shelter in Houston, Texas. The only strike against her there was a lack of kennel space. Since her arrival, Jewels has won over everyone at the facility with her easygoing, affectionate nature. Volunteers call her “Big Momma” and wish they could all take her home themselves. She is incredibly sweet, mellow, fully house trained, and walks well on a leash. Jewels enjoys the company of other dogs and does best with friendly, laid-back male dogs. She adores people, including kids, and brings a loving, gentle presence wherever she goes. Jewels is about 2 to 3 years old, spayed, current on vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped.
