About Sunflower

Click apply to start the adoption process. Sunflower is an irresistibly sweet and adorable little cat with a unique personality and an even more unique look: her precious head tilt makes her extra special! She came to rescue when she was discovered outside as part of a cat colony, already pregnant. After giving birth to her kittens on Mother's Day, she proved herself to be a devoted mother. Sunflower gets along well with other cats, though she prefers to interact on her own terms, and has not spent much time around small children or dogs—though a calm dog might be an option for her. Sunflower has been diagnosed with asthma, but she handles her inhaler sessions like a champ, though she rarely needs it daily. Her true joys are ear rubs from her people, kisses on her head, and plenty of time cuddling and playing with her toys. She often follows her humans around and delights everyone with her playful antics, vocal chats, and the hilarious positions she chooses for naps. Sunflower has waited patiently for a family to choose her, and her beautiful black coat often looks even more stunning in person than in pictures. All cats and kittens from this rescue are spayed or neutered, microchipped, tested for FIV/FELV, and kept up to date on vaccines including rabies, distemper, and dewormer. Interested adopters can meet some of the rescue's wonderful cats during store hours at PetSmart in Commerce Township. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
