After some time spent looking out for himself on the streets, Grifter arrived at the shelter needing both love and medical care, where he was diagnosed as FIV+. Following some veterinary attention, including dental work, a neuter, and a fresh shave to remove matted fur, Grifter made a remarkable transformation from wary loner to affectionate companion, now greeting everyone with eager head butts. He is relieved to have the safety and comfort of the rescue and is looking forward to finding his forever home with a family who sees his heart and potential. All of the cats and kittens at Focus on Ferals are spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, vaccinated for Distemper, and treated for parasites.
