Leela
AvailableLeela is a medium-sized, spayed female domestic long hair mix, about 6 years and 10 months old, currently in Santa Fe, NM. She is up to date on vaccinations and has a gentle, shy nature. Leela has spent most of her life around other cats and appreciates safe, quiet environments.
About Leela
Leela started out as a feral cat, trapped in a Santa Fe neighborhood. She gravitates toward high spots where she can quietly observe what’s going on around her. While Leela remains very shy with people, she has grown more comfortable with time and patience. Living at the shelter with other community cats, she gets along well with her feline peers and benefits from their company. For Leela, a calm home with a secure outdoor catio is a must—she truly needs that safe space to feel at ease. Adopters should understand her progress takes time, and offer gentle encouragement as she continues to adjust to home life. Leela is spayed and her vaccinations are current through 2027. Fun fact: born July 13, she’s a Cancer, which might explain her cautious, home-loving streak. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
