About Jimmy
Jimmy is a two-year-old orange tabby with standout chubby cheeks and an understated charm. He landed at FUR in Waynesville, NC this past March after his owner lost their home. Jimmy had a hopeful stretch in a foster home, but circumstances brought him back to the sanctuary. Change isn’t easy for Jimmy. He’ll need a patient adopter—someone who understands that it may take several weeks for him to start feeling safe and at home. But if given genuine time and space, Jimmy slowly peels back his shy layers to reveal a loving, goofy personality. He’s got a soft spot for cat-safe plants, turkey-flavored treats, and a quirky love for doormat play. In foster, he did especially well with dogs and loved being close to his people at all times. He gets along with other cats, too. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who just wants to be near you, Jimmy is worth a slow introduction and a little extra patience. What are you waiting for?
