"Velveeta" is an approximately 1 year old sweet mixed breed girl. A local vet clinic refused to euthanize her earlier this month when her owner requested it. Velveeta got into a dog fight over food & her owner got bit while trying to break it up. The clinic took ownership of her & began calling animal rescues to see if they would take her. They didn't have any luck with the groups they called but was given our name by one of the organizations so they reached out. That vet clinic saved her life. And because they did the right thing, so did we. We accepted Velveeta into rescue & she has begun a rehabilitation program. Once she completes that, she will be available for adoption.
