About Chedda

Chedda is a big orange cat with a mellow, friendly vibe. He came from Lexington Park as a stray; the microchip turned out to be a dead end and no one claimed him, so now he’s searching for a real home. He’s bonded tightly with Mel, a fellow rescue who arrived wounded and fearful after being left at a shelter by her former family. Chedda's gentle personality helped Mel learn to trust people again; they now nap and lounge together, often stacked on top of each other. Chedda genuinely enjoys the company of people but comes off shy with new faces—he’ll let you know he’s around with some talkative meows, always inviting but never pushy. With other cats, Chedda stays submissive and tends to get bullied, which is why pairing him with Mel has worked out so well. He does not like dogs at all. Both Chedda and Mel love getting pets and are big on food. They need a quiet home where their shy, affectionate personalities can thrive. They’re available together for one adoption fee of $125, and there’s an option for a trial adoption to see if it’s a match. Ready to meet them? Check them out at the Petco in California, MD on weekends or at the Meow Dyer Cat Cafe in Leonardtown. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
