Lucy is a gentle, loving hound mix who has been overlooked far too many times. She was rescued from an overcrowded shelter where she was heartbreakingly close to being euthanized simply because there wasn’t enough space. Before that, Lucy had been returned to the shelter multiple times — not because of anything she did wrong, but because she’s never truly been given a fair shot. Despite all of this, Lucy’s spirit is warm, hopeful, and full of love. She adores people. She gets along beautifully with other dogs. And she’s the kind of pup who just wants to belong — to be part of a family who sees her as more than a number in a system. Lucy is playful and happy, especially when toys or chews are involved. Give her something to carry around or a comfy spot to relax, and her tail starts wagging like she knows she’s finally safe. Her gentle nature and eager-to-please personality make her a wonderful family dog, ready to bring joy, laughter, and unconditional love into any home. All Lucy needs now is someone willing to choose her — truly choose her — and show her what stability, kindness, and lifelong love feel like. If you’re looking for a sweet, dog-friendly companion who deserves her first real chance at forever, Lucy is waiting with an open heart. Let’s make sure this is the last time she ever has to start over.
