He’s friendly, especially with people, and would do best as an only dog or with female dogs.

About Chopper

Chopper is about 7 years old and ended up in rescue when his previous owner moved away and couldn't take him along. Despite a tough situation, Chopper settled in quickly and now just wants someone to call his own. He’s a large, mixed-breed American Bulldog with a short black and cream coat. He’s had some fur loss due to allergies—his vet says it’s a lifelong sensitivity, but the bald patches are already looking much better with care. He’ll likely need ongoing allergy management, but nothing extreme. Chopper has a big, friendly personality and loves people. He’s especially happy going for car rides and always takes treats with a gentle mouth. Leash walks can be a bit of a tug-of-war, but he’s improving and responds well with tools like a Halti or Weiss Walkie. For other dogs, he’s best as an only pet or with female dogs only—he doesn’t do well with male dogs. He’s house trained and would make a devoted companion for the right adopter.
