About Luca
Start your journey together! Apply now. Luca is a charming senior gentleman looking for a loving forever home in southeast Arizona. This fun-loving boy is over 9 years old and weighs about 45 pounds, with the potential to put on a bit more weight. As a mixed-breed Shepherd with a striking short coat in black, brown, and gray tones, Luca brings both dignity and joy wherever he goes. Though his vision and hearing are somewhat diminished due to age, he is still able to enjoy the world around him, especially now that his ear infection has been treated. Since arriving at the rescue, Luca has started to blossom, showing a playful side by taking toys and engaging with his foster mom. He’s affectionate, smart, and enjoys both quiet cuddle time and bursts of play when he feels safe. Luca gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy joining a gentle pack or being your devoted solo companion. Because he’s a bit fragile, he’s best suited for a home where rough play will be avoided, making him especially wonderful for families who appreciate senior pets. If you’re seeking a loyal, gentle, and loving friend to share laughter and affection, Luca is ready to meet you and fill your home with happiness!
