About Gunner

Gunner is the kind of dog who decides you're his person from the moment you meet. He’s a 50-pound brindle Pit mix who found his way into rescue by hopping straight into his foster’s truck—he seemed to know he was home. Gunner’s outwardly friendly and quick with a tail wag, loves sprawling out in the sun, and takes his rope-chewing seriously. He lives for treats and won’t turn down a cuddle, insisting he’s a lap dog despite his size. Car rides are a breeze; Gunner settles quietly and rarely barks, unless the lawn mower’s running—then he’s got plenty to say. He’s neutered, kennel trained, and gets along well with other dogs. Gunner has also met kids and does well with them, but cats are not his cup of tea. He’s currently undergoing heartworm treatment, which the rescue is covering until he gets the all-clear. Gunner just wants someone to soak up the sunshine and share quiet hugs. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
