Bix is a medium-sized, adult male Shepherd mix currently in the care of Eleventh Hour Rescue. He is fully house trained and has been neutered. Although his weight is around 52 lbs, his calm and cuddly demeanor stands out. Bix thrives best in a calm, adult-only environment due to his anxiety and preference for routine, and he enjoys spending time indoors or lounging in a safely fenced yard.

About Xp Bix

Click apply to start the adoption process. Bix is a lovable 7-year-old Aruban Cunucu and Shepherd mix who has always been surrounded by love since being rescued at just 8 weeks old. Weighing in at 52 lbs, this derpy, silly boy is happiest when he’s cozied up and getting his daily dose of hugs—his "love tank" never stays empty for long! Bix is a fan of toys, treats, and especially naps, leaning into a lifestyle that closely mirrors that of a laid-back indoor cat, even though he does enjoy lounging in a yard or going on nice walks. Fully potty and crate trained, Bix finds comfort and calm in his crate. He has dealt with anxiety since he was a puppy and is particularly fearful of new people, especially men. However, if you give him time and patience, he’ll blossom into an affectionate and loyal companion. Because Bix feels overwhelmed in busy environments, he is searching for a calm, adult-only home with experienced dog owners who can help him settle in and provide the affection and routine he needs. While he’s lived with another dog since he was small, he would do best as the only pet or could potentially share his space with another respectful dog after careful testing. Bix’s family made the heart-wrenching decision to find him a new home due to challenges with young children in the house, as he does not thrive in that environment. They hope his new family might stay in touch, as he holds a special place in their hearts. Bix is in good health apart from some occasional allergies and anxiety, and he isn't on any medication. He will remain with his loving family until the right adopter comes along. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
