About Vera
Vera’s origins are a bit mysterious—her teeth are mostly gone, thanks to a rough start in life with high ammonia levels where she lived, so her age is anyone’s guess. When she arrived, her fur was so stained nobody was sure what color she actually was, but after time and a full shed, it’s clear she’s a soft gray and white. Despite those tough beginnings, Vera is small, gentle, and surprisingly intent on her food bowl or finding a sunny spot for a nap. She was rescued on the brink, looking so bad her rescuers thought she might not make it. But Vera bounced back with care, ending up settled into a community room where she quickly made friends, especially her buddy Twizzler—a male tabby with his own quirks. The two stick together like glue, often curled up side by side, content and peaceful. Vera is spayed, microchipped, and current on her vaccinations. This bonded, low-maintenance girl is easy company, and she’ll bring a lot of calm companionship to her next home. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
