About Zuko
Seasoned Husky fans will appreciate Zuko’s striking looks—he’s easily one of the most beautiful dogs to have come through in a while. His coat is the classic Husky double layer: full, thick, and lush, in black, white, and gray. Those big blue eyes have a sparkle that hints at his mischievous side. Zuko’s road was rough. Confiscated when his owner was arrested, he landed at New York City’s shelter, unsettled and marked for euthanasia almost immediately. Thanks to tireless advocates, Zuko made his way to Connecticut, where he's shown everyone what makes him special. At five years old, Zuko stands out among Siberian Huskies for his presence and looks—a dog with both style and substance. Anyone wanting to bring Zuko home needs to know what they’re getting into. He thrives with structure, exercise, and continued training. This is a dog who wants to be with his person, not left outside. Zuko’s confident personality demands a calm, assertive hand, ideally from someone experienced with Northern breeds who understands the value of leadership and an active lifestyle. Zuko does well in foster care and is ready for an adult, Husky-savvy home that can make him their number one priority. He has good house manners and is both house and crate trained, though patience during his adjustment is important. Zuko is neutered, vaccinated, healthy, and ready for the right person to give him his next adventure. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
