About Logan
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet. URGENT: Logan Needs a Home After 2,253 Days Yes, you read that right. Logan has been with Castoff Pet Rescue since April 2019 — over 6 years — and we’re absolutely baffled as to why. Not one application. Not one meet-and-greet. Just heartbreaking silence. Why? He’s just another big black dog. Actually, he’s more of a sable color that doesn’t pop in photos. He’s selective with other pets because he's been waiting SO LONG to be someone’s one and only. But here’s what we know: Logan gives the best kisses. He parades his Kong like it’s the crown jewels. He’s got the soul of an old friend and the goofy energy of a pup. And he waits. Every. Single. Day. This 8-year-old, 55lb certified heartthrob is crate-trained, potty-trained, and a proud graduate of a prison training program. He knows “sit,” “down,” “heel,” “place,” and “leave it.” His hobbies include: Sniff-aris (highly skilled nose work, thank you very much) Toy parades (with optional victory laps) Long walks with his humans (ride-or-die status guaranteed) Logan’s dream home: ✔ï ̧ No cats or small critters ✔ï ̧ Kids 13+ ✔ï ̧ Fenced yard = joy ✔ï ̧ Female dog? Maybe! Let’s try a meet ✔ï ̧ A human who sees beyond his looks and sees the best boy ever He’s been overlooked for far too long. It’s time. Logan deserves more than a shelter run and a Kong. He deserves a home. Age: 8 years Weight: 55 lbs Temperament: Gets along with older kids, hasn't experienced toddlers, no cats, can be dog selective better with females Training: Housetrained, crate-trained, knows commands “sit,” “down,” “heel,” “place,” and “leave it.” Vetting: neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention Email for questions: castoffalph@gmail.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $300; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.
