About ๐Ÿพ Meeko โ€” Your

Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Meeko is a gentle soul who recently came to the sanctuary after his elderly owner could no longer care for him. At around 8 years old, Meeko has been cherished his whole life and is still adjusting to this big change. He is a unique mix, with a white lab mom and a red heeler dad, giving him a charming appearance of white and cream fur with red merle markings and a short coat. Meeko is currently overweight, so he will need a family committed to helping him get plenty of exercise and stay on a healthy diet for his long-term well-being. Currently, Meeko is most comfortable in the quiet of the "quarantine apartment," preferring small groups to the bustling sanctuary pack. He does well with other dogs but finds large groups a bit overwhelming. While heโ€™s a bit cautious, Meekoโ€™s trust is growing every dayโ€”and nothing beats seeing his tail wag when someone comes by to spend time with him. A calm and peaceful forever home would be ideal for this loyal, affectionate companion, and heโ€™s ready to share his heart with the right adopter. Fun fact: With a birthday of July 13, Meeko is a Cancerโ€”a sign known for deep loyalty, gentleness, and sensitivity to their surroundings. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
