This large, adult male is a Labrador Retriever and Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix with a short, beautiful white and cream coat accented by red merle markings. Meeko is house trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. Although he is overweight and will benefit from a healthy diet and consistent exercise, he is otherwise healthy. He is currently living at DOGTREE PINES SENIOR DOG SANCTUARY & RESCUE.

At around 8 years old, Meeko has been cherished his whole life and is still adjusting to this big change. He is a unique mix, with a white lab mom and a red heeler dad, giving him a charming appearance of white and cream fur with red merle markings and a short coat. Meeko is currently overweight, so he will need a family committed to helping him get plenty of exercise and stay on a healthy diet for his long-term well-being. Currently, Meeko is most comfortable in the quiet of the "quarantine apartment," preferring small groups to the bustling sanctuary pack. He does well with other dogs but finds large groups a bit overwhelming. While he’s a bit cautious, Meeko’s trust is growing every day—and nothing beats seeing his tail wag when someone comes by to spend time with him. A calm and peaceful forever home would be ideal for this loyal, affectionate companion, and he’s ready to share his heart with the right adopter.
