About Petey
Petey’s story starts rough. He landed at Ebarr back in 2018 as a three-year-old when shelters were too packed and his name ended up on the euthanasia list for space. He was a good dog with a few of those stubborn edges that need some work. Trainers stepped up, gave him nonstop structure, and Petey showed just how well a dog can turn around. After a long wait, he found a home at age five. Then, out of nowhere, he turned up again at a shelter, abandoned—or worse, possibly dumped by the very people who promised him a family. Despite attempts to reach them, no one seemed interested. The explanations didn’t add up, and nobody posted or searched for him in public forums as they should have. Petey was failed, plain and simple. The rescue isn’t letting him slip through the cracks. Now a senior at 10, Petey faces a tough search for a real forever home, and with his background, you can bet the rescue will be picky. Petey is house trained, up to date on vaccines, has a short black and cream coat, and just wants stability from someone who won’t give up on him again. He’s a Pisces, so expect a softie when you get to know him. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
