About Vaquita
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Meet Vaquita, a 3.5-year-old spayed female White German Shepherd currently fostered through Echo Dogs White Shepherd Rescue. Vaquita weighs 60 lbs, is microchipped, and is both housetrained and crate-trained. She’s comfortable being left home alone without a crate but does appreciate having one nearby as a safe retreat when she feels overwhelmed. Vaquita thrives with men, women, and older children when introduced properly. She loves greeting new friends at home—often hopping into laps for cuddles and kisses! This super affectionate girl adores being petted, snuggling close, and showering loved ones with attention. Toys are a huge delight for her, especially balls and rope toys, and she’ll be happiest in a family that makes daily playtime a priority. A secure yard with a tall fence, or on-leash adventures, will be essential since Vaquita can easily clear low fences. She needs to be the only pet due to her reactivity with other dogs, often expressing this through barking and lunging, even after careful introductions. She isn’t suited for homes with cats or other dogs. Vaquita is an excellent co-pilot in the car and hopes to find a family committed to her continued training—especially with her leash skills, which are still developing. She already knows commands like sit, come, and roll over, and is great with having her paws dried after a muddy walk. Nail trims are still a work in progress! Vaquita is smart, joyful, and ready for her forever home. Could your family be the one she’s been waiting for? Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
