About Buddy
Meet Buddy, a little survivor who came in out of a storm—literally. He arrived on a volunteer’s porch, a soaked, shivering kitten who barely trusted a gentle hand. In those first days, Buddy kept his distance, his eyes wide and wary, flinching from every sudden movement. But consistent care and soft voices made all the difference. The same kitten who once hid in shadows now leaps into welcoming arms, chasing sunbeams without a worry and snuggling up at night with a deep, relieved sigh. Even now, Buddy remains a sensitive soul. Loud noises or fast movements still make him tense, so he’ll do best in a quiet home with calm adults. He is not suited to households with dogs, but he’s shown he truly thrives with another gentle cat—especially his foster friend Mandy, whose playful affection gives him confidence. They chase and wrestle, and Mandy’s warmth has become Buddy’s safe space. Buddy has learned to enjoy sitting with his foster mom, purring away as she hugs him, and soaking up every gentle kiss. He’s making steady progress, but he’ll need people who understand that trust may take time. If you can offer a peaceful, loving home—and maybe even have a cat companion like Mandy—Buddy could finally see that the world is a kind place after all. Ready to meet your new best friend?
